Saaz-o-Awaaz Music Academy endeavors to preserve the diverse traditional Indian Classical Music . It gives vocal training in Hindustani Classical Music. It was founded in the year 2013 by Ms. Poonam Narayanappa. She was trained under the abled guidance of Dr. Soubhagyavardhan Brihaspati (Rampur Gharana) who is 11th Generation Hindustani Classical Music professor, S/o Dr. Sulochana Brihaspati (2 times President Awardee).
The main aim of Saaz-o-aawaz is to promote and preserve this treasure of classical music which defines the rich Indian tradition.
Her Students have performed on good platforms and television shows like
· Zee Tv (Hindi) - Little Champ Sa Re Ga Ma Pa ·
· Colors (Hindi) - Rising Stars ·
· Tv (Hindi) - The Voice .
Ms. Poonam believes that students should keep performing on such platforms, because it gives them more exposure & confidence on stage and off stage. Team of saaz o awaaz is honored to perform at Phoenix market city on 15 April 2018. Please join us on a musical journey, presenting you evergreen melodies with a tinch of classical flavour to it. The main objective of the performance is to make the world understand the importance and magic of classical music and also to instill in them a zeal to promote and learn this traditional masterpiece. The group performing today consists of eminent artists with world of experience and popularity in their respective fields.A few to note include Mr Praveen Narayan Swami having immense experience and popularity in tabla playing,Mr Venkat on keyboard,Mr Kartik on Octopad and various others. Mr Praveen Narayan Swami also has a great distinguish of playing tabla along with certain eminent artists like Mr Hariharan and Mrs Bombay Jaisree and so on. As rightly said " Great team accomplishes great tasks" is the main objective of Saaz o aawaaz academy,producing good and creative vocal Hindustani classical music and artists since 2013.
