A new mobile terminal to remind people to decontaminate USB flash drives

Available until now as a fixed 70kg booth or as a software version installed on computers, the Malware Cleaner solution is now available in a “mini-terminal” version. Five integrated anti-virus search engines to detect threats

Orange Cyberdefense experts and their “ethical hacking” teams developed Malware Cleaner. Quick and easy to use, all you have to do is insert the USB flash drive to find out if it is has been infected. If it has, the user can choose to delete the file or put it into quarantine. It is also possible to print off a report for a more detailed analysis of the flash drive: infected files details, signature of detected attack, and the name of the anti-virus search engines that detected the infected file.

Malware Cleaner simultaneously uses five anti-virus search engines to optimize and combine the extent and performance of detection. These search engines are automatically updated on a daily basis when the terminal is connected to the internet via the network or using 4G. Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed will deliver the invocation from ancient Sanskrit scriptures before the Council. After Sanskrit delivery, he then will read the English interpretation of the prayers. Sanskrit is considered a sacred language in Hinduism and root language of Indo-European languages.

Zed, who is the President of Universal Society of Hinduism, will recite from Rig-Veda, the oldest scripture of the world still in common use; besides lines from Upanishads and Bhagavad-Gita (Song of the Lord), both ancient Hindu scriptures. He plans to start and end prayer with “Om”, the mystical syllable containing the universe, which in Hinduism is used to introduce and conclude religious work.

Reciting from Brahadaranyakopanishad, Rajan Zed plans to say “Asato ma sad gamaya, Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya, Mrtyor mamrtam gamaya”; which he will then interpret as “Lead us from the unreal to the real, Lead us from darkness to light, and Lead us from death to immortality.” Reciting from Bhagavad-Gita, he proposes to urge councimembers and others present to keep the welfare of others always in mind.

Zed, a global Hindu and interfaith leader, has been bestowed with World Interfaith Leader Award. Zed is Senior Fellow and Religious Advisor to Foundation for Religious Diplomacy, Spiritual Advisor to National Association of Interchurch & Interfaith Families, on the Advisory Board of The Interfaith Peace Project, etc. He has been panelist for “On Faith”, a prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced by The Washington Post; and leads a weekly interfaith panel “Faith Forum” in a Gannett publication for over seven years.

Although the participation in survey is voluntary, yet distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed is urging all the current Hindu MCPS students and their parents and staff members to actively participate in providing the survey feedback (and persuade friends/sympathizers also to do the same), mentioning that it is “very important” for them that the school is closed on Diwali, most popular of Hindu festivals.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, in a statement in Nevada today, also urged all the current Hindu MCPS students and their parents and staff members to list other Hindu festivals also under the question: “Are there any other days that you (or your family) observe…”

Rajan Zed indicated that Diwali holiday in MCPS would be a step in the positive direction in view of presence of a substantial number of Hindu students in the district; as it was important to meet the religious and spiritual needs of these pupils. Moreover, awareness about other religions thus created by such holidays like Diwali would make all MCPS students well-nurtured, well-balanced, and enlightened citizens of tomorrow.

Diwali fell on October 19 in 2017 and six New York school districts declared holiday for students on October 19, which included: East Meadow School District, East Williston Union Free School District, Half Hollow Hills Central School District, Herricks Union Free School District, Hicksville Union Free School District and Syosset Central School District. Mineola Union Free School District announced that no home work or examinations would be given on Diwali, reports suggest.

For 2017 in New Jersey; Glen Rock Public Schools announced closure of schools and offices on Diwali; in West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District, schools were closed on October 19; and in Piscataway Township Schools, there was “No School for Students” on Diwali. And in the recent past, Millburn Township Public Schools announced Diwali day off for students for the next three years, reports add.

In 2017 Unionville-Chadds Ford School District headquartered in Kennett Square in Pennsylvania approved closure of schools on Diwali; while Harvard Public Schools in Massachusetts declared October 19 as “early release day”. Board of Directors of Council Rock School District, headquartered in Newtown (Pennsylvania), in their meeting on February 15, unanimously approved 2018-2019 calendar which includes the addition of Diwali as an official school holiday, reports note.

Zed further said that it was important for Hindu families to celebrate Diwali day together at home with their children and they expected that MCPS would display how respectful and accommodating it was to their faith by closing schools on Diwali.

Rajan Zed points out that Hinduism is rich in festivals and religious festivals are very dear and sacred to Hindus. Diwali, the festival of lights, aims at dispelling the darkness and lighting up the lives and symbolizes the victory of good over evil.

Christmas Eve through January 1, Friday before Easter and Monday after Easter are state-mandated school closures. The survey has been developed in consultation with Hanover Research, a market research firm.

`Illustrious theatre playwright Mr. Chandrashekhar B. Kambara graced the ‘Living Legend’ series held at National School of Drama (NSD) Campus today. Mr. Chandrashekhar B. Kambara is a prominent Kannada playwright and poet, novelist, and folklorist and the President of the Sahitya Akademi. His dramatic oeuvre has drawn upon the folklore and theatrical forms of Karnataka, particularly the Bayalata and Yakshagana. As a true master of the art, Mr. Kambara used traditional folk art forms to explore contemporary reality and comment on themes ranging from socio-political to philosophical. Mr. Kambar is a recipient of Padma Shri and Sahitya Akademi awards, among others.

Kambara has to his credit 25 plays, 11 anthologies of poems, 5 novels, 16 research works and several scholarly write-ups on folk theatre, literature and education. Some of his popular plays include "Jokumaraswamy", "Jayasidnayaka", "Kadu Kudure", "Nayi Kathe", "Mahamayi", "Harakeya Kuri" and others. Talking about his works in various genres, he says, “I do poetry, I write for dramas and I compose novels, and don’t find any difference between the three. My aim is to narrate the story of the characters and it can be narrated through any of these mediums. I have created a play in three parts, in all different genres, narrating the same story.”

Kambara's plays mainly revolve around folk or mythology interlinked with contemporary issues, inculcating modern lifestyle with his hard-hitting poems. He has become a pioneer of such literature. His contribution as a playwright is significant not only to Kannada theatre but also to the Indian theatre in general as he achieved a blend of the folk and the modern theatrical forms. Talking about the importance of theatre, he says, “There is a lot happening in the world at any given point of time. There are many questions that are unanswered, there are many issues that are unaddressed, there is a vast space in the society and theatre fills that space. In my opinion, theatre acts like a mirror to the society.”

Kambara has served as the chairman of National School of Drama Society, New Delhi from 1996 to 2000. Sharing his regards for the institution, he says, “I have been associated with National School of Drama for more than 20 years now and I am proud of it. I have been to many theatre institutions in the world and NSD is one of the best. It was only after the establishment of National School of Drama that India carved its identity on the map of world theatre.”

NewsPatrolling.com : Mumbai, March 2018: On the back of celebrating National Safety Month, 3M India organized the third edition of the India Pharmaceutical Advisory Council (IPAC) in Mumbai today. Aimed at educating and addressing daily safety challenges and ensuring worker safety, the IPAC brought together 3M’s Global/Indian experts and pharmaceutical partners such as Abbott, Cipla, Emcure, GSK, Inventia Healthcare, Mylan, Microlabs, Unichem and Zydys Pfizer among others, to discuss the importance of “Moving towards 100% Safety Compliance Behavior”.

Talking about the risk arising from solvents in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Bharat Londhe, Global EHS Head for Piramal, suggested the methods they are using to build the engineering and administrative controls. He also emphasized on the emerging needs of Anti-static PPE to avoid fire hazards at the workplace.

Speaking about the importance of worker health and safety, Mr. K Nandakumar, Division Manager, Personal Safety Division, 3M India said, “The need for comprehensive worker health and safety personal protective equipment solutions has never been greater. With the changing regulations, industries and technologies, people are faced with the complex task of finding the right way to help protect their workers and business. NewsPatrolling.com : Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) organized a ‘Stress Management’ seminar for Aviation industry and students today at Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology (TIAT), Kandivali (E).

The aim of the Seminar was to teach aviation students how to handle stress, which can improve crew members’ performance and avoid unfortunate accidents.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Vivek Kulkarni- Sr. Instructor, TIAT and addressed by Mr. Keshava Sharma, Chairman, Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI) and regional executive director of Airport Authority of India. “I am an air traffic controller, which is not that well known even to people in aviation industry and is considered one of the most stressful job of the world. We are responsible for the safe and smooth flow of air traffic in the sky and on the ground across the airports. We have to take decisions under high risk. The immense responsibility that we have to shoulder every day in the aviation industry we have to master handling stress.”

“Whenever I sit in front of radar and get stressful, I develop the strategy to overcome the stress. In this seminar we have talked about how to overcome stress,” he further adds.

Mr. Subhajit Maity, Chief Instructor of TIAT said “Flight crew members have an incredibly stressful job – no surprise here as the responsibility and safety of the passengers are in their hands, coupled with other factors like workload, jet lag, being away from family members for a long period etc. These can often lead to unfortunate accidents. Through this Seminar we wanted to address how to cope and overcome such stress as to avoid mistakes which can result in accidents.”

Keynote speakers at the event were Mr. PS Ganapathy, retired from Air India, and Dr. Punita Masrani, specialist on Aviation Medicine.

Some of the other delegates who graced the occasion with their presence were Capt. AD Manek from skyline Aviation club, Ms. Adrianne - flt. Instructor (Australia), Mr. Bhadhur from Bombay flying club, Mr. Rakesh from Air traffic controller, Pooja Sawant from Jet Airways, Capt. D.K. Roy from Air India, Dr. Nitesh Yevle from Fro Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi, Dr. Rajkumar Pant from IIT Bombay, and Mr. Harish Kate, workshop maintenance manager, Aman Aviation.
